The design brief for this project was to turn a bland space into a more personalised sophisticated sitting room to relax in, maintaining a neutral scheme but adding touches of colour.

Inspiration for the room was taken from a large purple picture of a dandelion that the client had bought to hang in the room. The client was keen on the colour so it was decided to use purple shades in some of the accessories and furnishings to complement and enhance the painting.

Handmade curtains of white linen, with a luxury provence purple silk border, frame the large window area beautifully and maintain a light and airy feel to the sitting room. The purple silk border from the curtains was also used to create bands around the some of the silk cushions creating symmetry within the room. Purple glass ball table lamps also complement the beautiful glass ball curtain poles chosen.

Black and white landscape photos on the wall complement the scheme in both colour and theme, with a selection of black and white family photos adding the personal touch. Three glass bowl vases with roses on the coffee table finish off the room creating a sense of luxury and style.
